How do I set up dial plans ?
You can use the following information as a guide to create your dial plan:
() The entire dial plan must be surrounded by an open and close bracket.
| Each dial plan is separated from the next by the pipe |, but the first and last part of the dial plan only have an opening and closing bracket respectively.
0-9 Treated as normal digits
x Treated as any normal digit 0-9 on phone
* Treated as normal * character on phone
# Treated as normal # character on phone
. Repetition eg x. means any numeric digit (x) repeated 0 or more times.
<:> Substitution, eg <02:612> means replace 02 with 612
S0 Dial Immediately (capital S zero) For example: 000S0
! Barring a number, place this at the end of the number to prevent it being dialled.

[] Limiting choices, eg [24] means either 2 or 4, [2-5] means 2,3,4 and 5, [24-68] means 2,4,5,6,8

Simple dial plans
(<*1:0733333333>)
Description: This plan demonstrates replacement. If you dial a * followed by a 1 then the number 0733333333 would be dialed.

(<:07>[2-9]xxxxxxx)
Description: This plan prepends the 07 area code onto a local number. The reason you use [2-9] as the first digit is to exclude other interstate number ie 0[2345689] and also to exlude 1800, 1300, 13 etc

(1900xxxxxx!)
Description: This plan demonstrates number barring. If you enter a 1900 followed by 6 more digits (0-9) you call will not be placed.

What features does your hosted PBX offer ?
A brief rundown of the hosted PBX features is below:

  • Opening and Closing Hours - calls are diverted to voicemail outside of these set hours
  • IVR Menus (you can provide your own mp3 files)
  • Direct Dial In – Map a DID to an extensions
  • Virtual Fax – receives faxes to an email account as a pdf attachment
  • Music on Hold
  • Dual calling – eg phone and mobile ring simultaneously and whichever phone is answered first will get the call.
  • All Extensions can have opening/closing hours this includes Phones, Queues, IVR-menus and Direct Dial In’s. This means that you can have certain hours that an extension is open. It is possible to configure an alternative extension to go to when an extension is closed. Examples: IVR-menu eg press 1 for sales, 2 for support.
  • Voicemail – all voicemails forward to your e-mail account as a .wav file.
  • Queues
  • Queue Identification – see on your phone which queue the caller entered as well as caller ID.
You can choose many different ring strategies:
· Ringall – calls all members at the same time
· Round Robin – Starts at one extension and continues with all others in a circular fashion.
· Round Robin memory – Starts at one extension and continues with all others in a circular fashion and remembers where it got to and starts from that member the next call.
· Least Recent – The member that has been available the longest will get the call.
· Fewest calls – The member that has received the fewest calls will receive the call.
· Random – the server randomly selects which member should get the call.
· Timeout – how long you will allow the callers to be in the queue before sending the caller to an alternative extension.

The following are optional extra's which do not come standard in the VoIP PBX and will require a quote or include additional charges:
· Tell the caller their position in the queue at predefined intervals
· Tell the caller the approximate waiting time in the queue
· Tell the operator how long the caller waited in the queue
· Have different background music depending on the queue they are waiting in.
· Queue breakers - callers can break out of a queue and ask to be called back – you will receive an e-mail with the number to call back
· Simple Change: $5 per change (includes change of answer point, addition/removal of extentions etc)
· Complex Change: $15 per change (includes addition/removal of DID's, complete change of routing to extentions etc)
